Your first marketing hire should not be a marketer. Here is who I tell founders to hire instead.
This week's group: LinkedIn, 1k to 5k, B2B marketing
Marked read. One more reader lined up for your next post, from a different group.
Founding seats open · For creators, founders and solopreneurs
Early Days Club matches you with people at your stage: the same platform, a similar audience size, and topics close to yours. When you post, a group of them reads it properly and replies only when they have something real to add. You support a different group, never the same faces. About 10 minutes a weekday.
No card needed to apply. You pay only if you're approved: $29 a month, cancel anytime.
The problem
No marketing team. No one down the hall to say "that one was good."
You write something you're proud of. You post it at 8:30. Then you wait.
At 8:50 you check. Two likes. Both from old colleagues. By lunch, it's gone.
The usual path is a long grind. Post for years. Wait for a handful of posts to take off before anything starts to work. Most people stop long before then. The work was fine. The silence got to them.
And the usual advice makes it worse. Leave 60 comments a day on strangers' posts. You don't have time for that, and you don't know whose posts are worth it.
The 8:30 story is an illustration.
"Posts sometimes reach a few hundred, but likes and comments are zero."

There's another way. Find people in the same boat: the same platforms, the same stage, the same kind of work. You show up for one group. A different group shows up for you.
When people show up early, while your post is still new, it stops feeling like you're talking to an empty room. Many people believe a post's first hour matters most. LinkedIn has never said exactly how it works. Either way, it's easier to keep going when someone is reading.
How it works
Two minutes. Share your profile, what you post about and who you want to reach. No card needed.
A person on our team reads your profile and your recent posts. They decide, usually within 24 hours. If it's a yes, you get an email with a link to start your membership. If it's a no, you pay nothing and get a short reason why.
Install the Chrome extension. Each weekday it shows a short list of posts from one group of people at your stage. Show up for them. Every post you read lines up one reader for your next post, up to 10, from a different group. They see it in its first hour.
What support means here. Showing up, reading, and saying something when you genuinely have something to say. It is never a swap: the people you support are not the people who support you. Nobody likes on command. Comments are optional, and "Read, nothing to add" counts the same.
Who shows up for you
We build every group from paid, approved members at your stage. You never pick people, swap links or ask anyone for anything.
Same platform. Same stage. Two different groups, new each week. Illustration
The people you support and the people who support you are different groups. Nobody agrees to trade with anyone, and nobody you read is told to read you back.
You're placed in a tier by your connections or followers on each platform, and matched with people in that tier on the same platform. Someone with 900 followers isn't lost next to someone with 40k.
Inside your tier, groups are built from people whose topics overlap yours. They read your post because it's in their world, not because they were told to like it.
Both groups change every week, so it isn't the same people each time. We pick from everyone at your stage, and as that pool grows you keep meeting people who are new to you.
The more you show up for others, the more people show up for you: one reader for every post you read, up to 10 per post, always from a group you don't support. They see it at different points in its first hour, whenever they are free.
We never promise likes, comments or reach. We line up people who show up. What they say, if anything, is up to them.
Quality, both ways
Support that says "Great post" to everything isn't support. So we're strict, on both sides: the posts you read, and the people who read yours.
A person reads your profile and recent posts before you're approved. We look for people who post regularly, for example at least 4 posts in the last 60 days. Real person, real work, your own words.
If someone keeps posting terrible AI-drafted posts, we talk to them first. That's a warning. If it keeps happening, they're removed. You never have to read slop to keep your place.
Generic comments get one warning. The next one means removal. Authors can flag any comment that feels empty.
No group chat. No link swapping. No DMs needed. Nobody asks you for a like.
We'd rather turn someone away than put a bad post on your list.
The extension
The extension is simple on purpose: a list and a few buttons. Everything on LinkedIn, you do yourself, in your own tab.
Your first marketing hire should not be a marketer. Here is who I tell founders to hire instead.
This week's group: LinkedIn, 1k to 5k, B2B marketing
Marked read. One more reader lined up for your next post, from a different group.
Account safety: nothing automated acts on your account. You read. You decide if you have something to say. Chrome only for now. Works with LinkedIn at launch.
Founding price
One plan. One price. Cancel anytime. You're joining early, before there's a track record, and the founding price is our thanks for that.
The fair rule: every post you read adds one reader to your next post, up to 10, and those readers always come from a different group. Read fewer than 3 in a week and your posts pause until you catch up. You get one skip week a month.
Questions
Creators, founders, solopreneurs, consultants and job-seekers who market themselves by posting and are tempted to quit because nobody shows up. You post regularly, you write your own posts, and you're willing to show up for other people at your stage.
No. A pod is a fixed group trading likes and comments on each other's posts. Here, the people you support are never the people who support you, and both groups change every week. Nobody is asked to like anything, comments are optional and only when genuine, and nothing is automated or posted in your name.
You're matched on three things: the platform you post on, your audience size (connections or followers, in tiers from 0 to 1k up to 25k+), and your topics. From that pool we build two separate groups each week: one you show up for, and a different one that shows up for you.
Mostly not, and we won't pretend they are. They are peers in your niche: people who post about the same world you do. They read your work, and when they have something real to say, you get a real conversation.
We can't control how LinkedIn behaves, so we can't promise anything about it. What we can do is stay far from what LinkedIn warns against: nobody agrees to like or reshare anything, the people you support are never the people who support you, comments are optional, groups change weekly, each post has a reader cap, and nothing automated acts on your account. That lowers the risk. It doesn't make it zero.
No. Both groups change every week: the people you show up for, and the people who show up for you. And the two groups never overlap. We pick from everyone at your stage on your platform, and as that pool grows you keep meeting people who are new to you.
That's who this is built for. The people who show up for you have a similar audience on the same platform, not accounts with fifty times your following. Small is the stage where silence makes most people quit. Getting in depends on how you post, not how big you are: we look for regular posts in your own words, at any audience size.
No. Comments are optional and only when you mean them. "Read, nothing to add" counts the same as a comment. Support here is real, never required.
You pay nothing, and you get a short reason, like "we look for at least 4 posts in the last 60 days". You can apply again later, for example after 60 days.
About 10 minutes a weekday. Read one post from your list each weekday, 5 a week. Take one skip week a month when life gets busy.
We check for it before anyone gets in. A person reads your recent posts. If a member keeps posting terrible AI-drafted posts, we talk to them first, and remove them if it continues.
Nothing automated acts on your account. The extension shows your list, opens posts in your own tab, and lets you mark them read. It never likes, comments, posts, reshares, sends messages or clicks anything on LinkedIn for you. It doesn't scrape your network and never asks for your LinkedIn password.
Yes. One plan, no contract. Cancel in one step from your account page, or reply to any email from us. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for. The founding price stays locked for as long as you stay a member.
Because free groups fill up fast with people who drop in once and leave "Great post". Everyone on your list paid and was approved by a person, so they have a reason to show up and read properly. The fee also covers what we do by hand: reviewing applications and building your lists.
We're starting with LinkedIn. X, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube are next, and on each one you'll be matched with people on the same platform at a similar audience size. We'll open each platform only when we can do it within its rules, and we'll tell members when it does.
Only if you're approved. No card is needed to apply. If you're approved, we email you a secure link to start your membership at $29 a month, billed monthly until you cancel. If you're not approved, you pay nothing.
You get one skip week a month, no questions. If you read fewer than 3 posts in a week without using it, your posts pause until you catch up. Nothing else happens.
No. Your score is private and shown only to you, like "2 of 5". There is no leaderboard.
No badge, no public list, nothing on your profile or posts. The only people who know are the members in the groups you show up for and the groups that show up for you.
Readers you have lined up go to your next post, always from a group you don't support that week. If you post again soon after, that post gets the readers you have earned since. Showing up for more people lines up more, up to 10 per post.
A person on our team. They read your profile and your recent posts, then decide, usually within 24 hours.
Founding seat application
Two minutes. A person reads every application, usually within 24 hours.
Your next post
Apply today. A person reads your profile, usually within 24 hours. If you're in, install the extension, show up for a few people at your stage, and your next post has a different group waiting to read it in its first hour. If you're not in, you pay nothing.
No card to apply. You pay only if approved. $29 a month, locked while you stay. Founding price ends 30 Nov 2026 or at 200 members.
This is not for people who want likes on demand. It's for people who write real posts, want real encouragement, and are willing to give it. If that's you, apply.
